The issue in America that needs the most attention is whether or not the politicians will allow the nation to live up to it's alleged values and promises. I say alleged because these ideas were put to paper by the white forefathers many years ago; however, we know they were meant for them only. A new day has arrived and it is time to expand these virtues to be inclusive to all Americans. Another issue is immigration. It seems that in the minds of some conservative folk the only people welcome are Europeans and only white ones. This society was not built by whites alone, in fact it was built by others for the benefit of these oppressors. These are but a very few of the problems facing this society. I think that it is time to remember " a house divided......"

I can't answer this question from looking out of a window at Manhattan Island. But I can answer it by looking out of my window. The smell answers it. The drunks walking around so high to pass away their life answers it. Any country that talks about being a great country better make sure either most people are doing ok or most don't get to give their opinion.

Take any of these away and America will be headed down a path of 2nd class nations. Behind China, Russia, Germany, and Japan. The UK could very well become our boss again.

The invisible things about a country always distinguish it over the visible things. Some of the more tragic national histories are associated with what seems great on the outside. The Roman Empire comes to mind.
